                                                                          To get started with Patient Portal, print and complete the Portal Authorization Form,

                 then return it to Dr. Wirth's Office.  You will then get an email, generally within 24 hours, containing your user name and password.  You may then use the Patient Portal to schedule appointments and to communicate via secure email with our office.  You may also download and advise us of needed corrections to your Health Summary.  This is useful when traveling out of the area or in case of hospital admission.  We will try to communicate diagnostic study results via the portal, but please remember to contact us by phone or in person if you do not receive word within the expected period of time.  ("No news" is not necessarily good news; it may be that we never received the reports in question). 

     As the Portal Manual describes, it is possible to use the portal for medication refills, referrals and even some degree of consultation.  For now, we are not using those functions, but we would appreciate your suggestions.  Let us know if you would like to see us expand our portal's capabilities. 

     Once you feel comfortable with accessing and using the portal, you may save it as a direct link or access it directly by clicking on the little ellipsis that is located on our home page, in the mid-far right portion of the page.
